More fun with stencils - Day 1

Thanks to all you lovely people who shared such encouraging comments on my previous card for STENCILED... If you missed it do check it out here.

So here I am back again with the card I promised ... Still stuck on day 1 of the class as I have so many other little things on hand....
BTW did I mention Yohann has now started Playschool and it's such good fun with a new experience and a new word everyday... Soon to be two I think time is really running too fast...

And so now back to my card....

Today i am sharing a card I made with a stencil and heat embossing. The template is a Kaisercraft 12 by 12 damask pattern which is actually too big for a card. But poor me for lack of a variety in stencils had to make do with this one... as I really wanted to try the technique.

Can you see the shine from the heat embossing... i love the way it stands out against the distressing...

Have kept  a simple ribbon bow to complete the look of the card without making it too crowded.

Here is a full picture of the stencil I used ...

I think I did a decent job with this card... Waiting to hear all your comments...
Bye!!!! Cya soon....

Fun with Stencils

Hello there..

Here is a card I want to share with you all .... Its a new technique for me  and I just managed to take it to the next level with the wonderful online class called STENCILED.

Lots of amazing international designers sharing new techniques and introducing us to wonderful new products we rarely see here in India.

Stencils were a tool I was a bit skeptical about but with the class... slowly I am gaining confidence.

Here is a card I made with the first technique demonstrated by the hugely talented Debby Hughes.

I also made the stencil myself with an OHP sheet and that really gives a totally wow feeling...

I just wish I had more stencils now (I hope all you friends out there are reading this.....)

Will be trying out more so do keep watching this space.

Cya soon....

We decided to do CAS cards for this blog hop
CAS cards with PP and sequins

So here is the card I made for the blog hop

Bright and fresh is what I had in mind and that's exactly what translated on the card.

A Trifold Window Card with bright pattern paper from the Bo Bunny - Hello Sunshine Collection.

The Rose Stamp and sentiment is a newly acquired favorite from Clearly Besotted. How I love those stamps.... Yummmm.
The flowers and leaves have been stamped with Memento inks and  layered with foam to give a 3d  look.

The Sequins just adds to the effect I think!!!

But what you think and tell me makes me happier... so let the comments come in...

YOUR NEXT STOP IS Karen

Do keep checking her blog the blog hop post will come LIVE anytime between 1st and 5th of Jan!

Have fun blog hopping...
